Stream in the Woods
There is lots of water in Cades Cove. This is just one of the many reasons it is such a great animal habitat.
Road Between the Roads.
There are a couple of short cuts on the Cades Cove loop road. This is one of them. This photo was taken early one morning, not long after sunrise.
Fields and Fog
The sun hadn't been up long when this image was captured. It had yet to burn off the fog.
Little Home in the Woods
Cades Cove has many examples of early American dwellings. This one sits alone surrounded by woods on three sides. To step into these buildings, is to step back into time.
Mother Bear
It was a treat this year to spot a lot of bear in Cades Cove. This mother bear is guiding her yearling (not pictured) through the tall grass after a long night of hard rain.
Deer In The Woods
Driving through Cades Cove you will normally have an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife. Among the animals I almost always see there are deer. This young male still has the felt on his antlers.
