Sunset over Lake Jocassee 5-7-2016
Sunset as seen from Jumping Off Rock over looking Lake Jocassee in South Carolina. Getting to the spot can be tough on a standard car or truck. I recommend a 4X4. It is 10 miles of rugged dirt road, once you leave the pavement to get here. The trip takes about 45 minutes. But man is it worth the drive. I usually try to be on site an hour before sunset. This place can get a little crowded, so if you don't go early enough you might not get the best spot to take it all in or take photos. Depending on the time of year the sun will set at different places on the horizon. So each time you go the view is a little bit different.
